I recently stumbled across this book and was completely consumed by it. I was hooked until the very last page! It's not like the other academic rivals to lovers books: it is a heartfelt exploration of friendship, the meaning of rivals, and pivotal moments that shape who we are. Although the story revolves around two high school seniors about to graduate, it's relatable to all who read it. I immediately caught onto and adored the richness and depth of characters written by Rachel Solomon. Both characters have inner struggles that they solve along the adventure, and serve as reflections for us readers. As I said, I was captivated from start to finish, mostly because of the fast pacing and build up of the plot. The banter never fell flat and every emotional scene did it's job to make me cry. It's not because they were sad, but more because they added to the theme of self-discovery and the notion that it's ok to not have everything figured out. Be prepared to finish this book in one sitting.
Recommendation
I think this book is amazing, from the bittersweet nature of adolescence to the actual adventure the story takes place in. Every aspect of this book was executed perfectly by Solomon, and I'm eager to read her other works. Everyone I have asked has praised this book as I do, for different reasons. That should be proof enough that anyone who reads "Today Tonight Tomorrow" will find a reason to love it.
