The Society for Soulless Girls
4/5★
There is so much I want to say about this book! First off, I love the feminism that makes its appearance at the end of the book and strongly brings the book full circle. I also think it gives purpose and reason for the book and it's message/morals. Secondly, I like how romance was not the main theme of the book because sometimes it takes over and it feels like the author is trying to shove an unnatural romantic relationship down my throat. I like how the book was written, because it seems slow going but I also read it really quickly. And although I was met with cliff hangers after every chapter or so, they weren't boring and never frustrated me in any way. The chapters are relatively short and overall the book didn't make me wince like most realistic fiction books where the author is trying to be cool.
Recommendation
I think this is a good book to read, especially because it's a standalone that is up to par. I gave it a 4/5 because it didn't amae me and some parts were gory or violent, which isn't my style. If you love murder mystery books or even avenues of horrow this would keep you entertained for sure.
