This book was amazing as usual. Unexpected but thoughtfully hilarious. The book played off the common conception of a morally grey villain and spun it into this sarcastic tale of events. I never felt like a character was out of place even though the character list kept growing on and on. The book was a decent size, keeping readers engaged through even the slowest chapters. I love how the writing was easy to comprehend and still stimulating; it made me think instead of using a dictionary. Still, in shock about how good that book was. Mostly because every big moment was thought out and written so well as if I were there watching everything play out in slow motion. Props to the author for side-stepping topics that are generally heavy and averted but not making me feel like I am reading a children's book. The chemistry between characters was unmatched and it's unbelievable how well the author created a picture for us. This book was immersive, fun, and surprising. I am desperate for the second one!

Recommendation

The book was spectacular, consisting of world-building, actual plot, strong side characters, the right amount of romance, and plot twists + mystery that had me at the edge of my seat. I would say this is more of a young adult book, but adults could probably enjoy this too. It was such a quick read and everyone I have recommended this too has loved it! It never disappoints, even in front of various audiences.
